About BLCKCOIN Project
Blackcoin (BLK) is a digital currency that began in 2014. Unlike Bitcoin, which utilizes a system called Proof-of-Work that needs much energy, Blackcoin employs Proof-of-Stake (PoS). This process assists in making transactions faster and more environmentally friendly.
With PoS, people who own Blackcoin can “stake” their coins. Staking means they lock their coins in a wallet to help keep the network safe and process transactions. Instead of using expensive mining equipment like Bitcoin, Blackcoin rewards people with staking bonuses. These rewards range from 1% to 8% per year, depending on how many coins are staked.
One of the main advantages of Blackcoin is that it’s so much faster than Bitcoin. Transactions are validated in around 64 seconds, whereas Bitcoin takes up to 10 minutes. This renders Blackcoin an even simpler option for general use.
Blackcoin continues to improve. The latest update, Blackcoin More v26.2.0, was released in December of 2024.Users must update their wallets by June 2025 in order to remain linked to the network. The project is open-source and community-driven, so anyone can contribute towards its development.
