ApeMars X Account Hack: Is $APRZ Following Pepeto's Path?

ApeMars X Account Hack: Is $APRZ Following Pepeto's Path?

ApeMars X Account Hack After Launch: Will $APRZ Survive Like Pepeto?

The ApeMars ($APRZ) official X account was hacked on June 8, 2026, just days after the project completed its presale and launched on Uniswap. The timing is strange. Or maybe it isn't. This is the second meme coin project in recent months to face a social media security incident right around a major milestone. Pepeto went through something similar, and that story ended well for holders.

What Happened to the ApeMars X Account

ApeMars X account Hack on June 8, 2026. The hack comes at a particularly sensitive time.

It is currently live on Uniswap, with $APRZ trading at $0.00584 after completing a 24-stage presale that raised $532,969.34 in total. Token claims opened on June 7. The Uniswap listing went live on June 6. And now, less than 48 hours into open trading, the project's main social media channel is down.

The presale is over. The smart contract is deployed. Funds are not at risk. But the X account being compromised right at launch is the kind of news that makes early holders nervous.

Is $APRZ Following Pepeto's Path?

The comparison is obvious but only goes so far. It faced three domain attacks during an active presale and still raised over $9.78 million. ApeMars got hit after the presale closed and the Uniswap listing was already live. Same pattern, different timing. The X hack changes nothing on-chain. But how the team responds in the next 48 hours will tell you everything.

The Pepeto Comparison Is Hard to Ignore

This isn't the first time a meme coin has dealt with a hack or platform attack right around a major event. Pepeto went through something far worse, multiple times. The Pepeto website got hit on April 28, May 9, and May 27. Each time, the team lost control of its domain. Each time, they bounced back with a new site and kept the presale running.

The key thing people missed with Pepeto: a domain attack targets the website address, not the smart contract where funds live. The Pepeto presale stored all investor funds on the Ethereum blockchain. That blockchain code was audited by SolidProof and Coinsult before a single dollar came in.

The same logic applies here for ApeMars. An X account being hacked does not touch the token contract. It does not move funds. It does not affect the Uniswap liquidity pool.

$APRZ Claim is Still Live: How to Verify Safely

The claim page is now active, showing “APEMARS PRESALE Mission Complete Claim Incoming” with an APRZ collect option. Always verify before connecting any wallet.

Step 1- Confirm the official domain

Type apemars.com directly in your browser. Avoid Telegram or social links, as fake pages often appear quickly after major updates.

Step 2: Check the contract on Etherscan

Search this address on etherscan.io: 0xaab17f1fccea5be51f6e2a5254927e06b06a985f. Ensure it shows ($APRZ) and review contract status carefully.

Step 3: Review wallet approval

Check the MetaMask prompt before confirming. A safe claim shows a token transfer to your wallet, not unlimited spending approval.

What the ApeMars Team Should Do Next

Based on how Pepeto handled its repeat attacks, there are a few things the community should expect from the team. First, there should be immediate official communication through Telegram or the official website confirming the hack and warning users about fake posts.

At the moment, $APRZ is trading around $0.00584 on Uniswap. Anyone who entered at the final presale price of $0.00012506 is currently sitting on roughly a 46x return at today’s price. These holders are seeing strong paper gains right now.
